All the stars go to this read!
Kate has a phenomenal way of owning you with her stunning words.
I was drawn so deep into these pages and my feels were scattered all over the place. Every emotion, want, need, deficiency stabbed me deep into my soul. Pushing and pulling on my heart strings until they were stretched so tight I thought they’d break. I couldn’t read fast enough but yet I never wanted the story to end.
I was drawn to this read by the stunning beauty of the cover…then the blurb…then the fact that I knew I couldn’t miss the emotional journey Kate provides. AND this book is on heck of trip through turmoil, healing and life. A real-life uphill battle at fighting expections and picking up your broken pieces. Two souls searching for salvation upon the beautiful waves on an island of healing.
I’m certain I left a piece of myself with Ian and Koti under the stars in St. Thomas. When I reached the end my heart was all warm inside but I felt such an immense loss because I wanted to keep living in this world. A truly hangover inducing stunner to take your breath away, own your soul and the imagery created by these words will stay with you forever!
The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old and we shared a summer beneath the stars.
The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart.
We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars…until we both got swept away.
