“In the end, only three things matter. How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.” – Unknown
It was a big lie. The biggest lie she’d ever told. It reverberated through her head as she said it, ringing eerily, and the girl behind her eyes—the girl who knew the truth—screamed, and her scream echoed along with the lie.
“Are you in love with Noah, Mercedes?” Cora asked. “I mean . . . I know you love him. You’ve been friends forever. We all have. But are you in love with him?”
If it had been anyone else—anyone—Mercedes would have stuck out her chest, folded her skinny arms, and let her feelings be known. She would have claimed him. But it was Cora. Brave, beautiful, broken Cora, and Cora loved Noah too.
And with that lie, she lost him. With that lie, she sealed her fate.
She was the best friend, the bridesmaid, the godmother, the glue. She was there for the good times and the bad, the ups and downs, the biggest moments and the smallest parts. And she was there when it all came crashing down.
This is the tale of the girl who didn’t get the guy.
I honestly don’t have enough Witchy Stars to give this one justice…
ALL THE STARS EVER MADE!!
Can I crawl inside and live this book always?
This book is so far off the star charts I don’t have a number to give it that will do it justice..even infinite is not enough.
I can’t even want to start another read…my ‘gimme a new one’ is broken cause I don’t want to leave this one behind.
I’m being petulant and stomping my foot saying ‘it’s not fair’ cause I read it too darn fast and now I’m suffering. I couldn’t stop. I inhaled every page. These characters, the love, the loss, the utter destruction and twisting, roller coaster turns with swoon, love, AHHHHH!!! I could list every adjective in the dictionary and not have enough words to describe my adoration for The Smallest Parts! READ IT!!! LIVE IT!!! BE CONSUMED BY IT!
I experience this sensation every single time I read an Amy book cause her words are moving, emotionally packed and OMFG I just can’t leave this book…I don’t want to…I’ve smiled, I’ve cringed, I went OMG…it’s it’s….nope..not gonna give it away but you are going to love the A-HA moment… the ending came so fast I wanted to cry (but this is a long book…I just read way to freaking fast) cause I live in these worlds and Amy is so very superb with her words.
There is only one other author, besides Amy, I could read every single day for the rest of my life and be so happy! The world needs more Amy Harmon books.
Amy Harmon, I love your brain! Thank you for this read!—> readers you too will bow down to the awesomesauciliciousness —> another new word -> that is her brain!
New word for today…neverendilicious -> a book so addicting you read the words slower to keep the end from coming, begging the book gods for it to never stop as the percentage climbs higher.
