Witchy’s Weekend Review for 11/28 — 12/3

We said farewell to November and Hello to December this week.

Time to get ready for the holidays!

December brought in a whole lot of great new books this week.

Let’s start with a few that I read and highly recommend!

Oh…make sure to make to the bottom to see what GIVEAWAYS are currently going on.

Colleen Hoover is the master of words. Too Late is something she created for Wattpad and it turned into this amazing book. She is so very great at ripping me to shreds with angst and high emotions. She writes these characters that make you love and hate. Honestly Asa made me quite stabby. I wanted to feel for the broken little boy that created the monster of a man but we are what we make ourselves and he made himself a monster. You should experience this for yourself it is highly addicting, some what dark and disturbing but a whole lot of amazing!

“Love,” Carter says, his voice a little more slurred and a little bit louder. “Love is not found. Love finds.” Carter’s eyes move across the room until they land on mine. “Love finds you in the forgiveness at the tail end of a fight. Love finds you in the empathy you feel for someone else. Love finds you in the embrace that follows a tragedy. Love finds you in the celebration after the conquering of an illness. Love finds you in the devastation after the surrender to an illness.”

“Love finds you in the tragedies. That’s certainly where Carter found me. In the midst of a series of tragedies…”

Sloan will go through hell and back for her little brother. And she does, every single night.

Forced to remain in a relationship with the dangerous and corrupt Asa Jackson, Sloan will do whatever it takes to make sure her brother has what he needs.

Nothing will get in her way.

Nothing except Carter.

Sloan is the only good thing to ever happen to Asa. He knows this and he never plans on letting her go; even if she doesn’t approve of his lifestyle. But despite Sloan’s disapproval, Asa knows what it takes to get what he wants. He knows what he needs to do to remain on top.

Nothing will get in his way.

Nothing except Carter.

If you have read Leap of Faith then you already know you are going to love Jake. If you haven’t, then this is a great place to start. He is an amazing husband, lover, warrior, father and friend. Plus this give us a look at what is to come with these characters. This I Promise You is a great read that I think you will love!

“I know you’re meant to be mine, and I’m meant to be yours. I may be young, but I know what I feel for you is strong, and I can’t go against that. It’s crazy and impossible, but I know it’s real and meant to be. I want to be with you…forever.”

“Because nothing makes a man greater than what he’s willing to do and sacrifice for the betterment of those he loves . . .”

When faced with a life-changing decision, Jake Duval takes the road less traveled. In the face of uncertainty, he stands firm in his beliefs and decides to raise his daughter, Rylee, on his own.

Through perseverance, dedication, and holding onto a dream, he struggles to better himself and give Rylee the world.

Despite his love for his daughter, Jake is disillusioned and bitter after Rylee’s mother abandons them.

That is, until the moment he sees her—Faith Castellano—and everything seems to fall into place. He begins to believe in crazy things, such as “love at first sight.”

As Faith sweeps him off his feet, they live life, make promises to each other, and experience the beautifulness of love and adventure, Jake discovers that nothing is as it seems and sometimes your dreams are the reason those promises you make are broken.

Max rounded out the trio of Billionaire bad boys in this neat little novella package. Wes & Winnie, Georgie & Kline, and Cassie and Thatch are all here. Really a great wrap to these characters. I am sad to see them go but I can’t wait to see what Max brings us in the future. If you have enjoyed these books then you must add Scoring Her to you collection, it will not be complete without it.

The end of the Billionaire Bad Boy era, the series comes to a close.

From Kline and Benny to Wes and Winnie with Thatch and Cassie in between, spend time with the characters that have stolen the hearts of both each other and readers alike, and meet the men of the upcoming spinoff series Mavericks Tackle Love.

Cat shredded our hearts with this amazingly emotional 5 star read this week! Without Regret will leave you gasping…in all the great ways. You will need tissues but you will have a smile. Be prepared to have a whole range of the “feels” with his one!

“I was prepared to wait forever to hear you say those three words.” His lips brush over mine. “Falling in love with you has been the most effortless thing I’ve ever done,” he says against my lips.”

Beside that word in the dictionary was a picture of me. But, not anymore. Ironically, the decision to take my life back was in large part because I found out my Dad may lose his. With everything changing all at once, my world is spinning out of control. Then, when I least expect it, he turns it upside down.
Ray Mitchell.
This story is not always going to be happy, or pretty. It is raw, and sometimes brutally painful. At my lowest moments I come face to face with who I really am. The road I take is broken more than it is smooth, but there is an unexplainable beauty in being able to live your life without regret.
