It End With Us by Colleen Hoover ~ Review

It Ends With Us

It is not very often I have free time to read from my TBR list but I am so happy I took the time to read this book. I seriously devoured this in 4 hours, I couldn’t stop. I became addicted with just a few pages. If you only read one book in your life THIS needs to be that book. I am still so very blown away by it’s pages. I am not sure what book comes next but nothing will ever be as good as this book.

THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH RATING STARS TO DO JUSTICE TO THIS BOOK!

There is just not a star rating high enough to justify this book. I am suffering from the worst kind of book hangover right now. I just can’t bring myself to pick up a new one. The story has been playing in my mind for 24 hours solid like a great movie you can’t forget. I have been gutted and angry. Struggling to find the words to explain this beautiful tragedy. I knew this would blow me away but I didn’t think I would feel such melancholy after finishing. I wanted everything to work out. I wanted it all to be a bad dream. Ryle and Lilly are very complex characters. When the world implodes my mouth hung open and I just couldn’t process what I had read but I could not stop. These pages became an addiction that I couldn’t feed fast enough. I just kept saying “no, no, no..the story doesn’t go this way” but there is no other way for it to go. A moving tale of understanding, love and strength. Surviving….the story will gut you, it will push and pull you and if you are like me it will break you. Phenomenal writing from a creative mind. The best book I think I will ever read.  “Just keep swimming” this book will shock you.

Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
